Merit-based selection with fairness
Jobs, examinations, government contracts, promotions, and leadership positions should be awarded primarily on the basis of capability, integrity, performance, creativity, competence, and commitment to public service. Citizens should have confidence that opportunities are earned through merit and fair competition rather than political influence, corruption, nepotism, favoritism, caste networks, or financial power.
Recruitment systems and public examinations should therefore follow transparent and auditable processes at every stage. Wherever possible, evaluations should use anonymized assessment methods to reduce bias and increase fairness. Examination systems should maintain secure digital records, auditable logs, clear evaluation standards, and publicly available selection criteria so that decisions can be independently reviewed if required.
At the same time, strong action should be taken against cheating, paper leaks, bribery, impersonation, and manipulation of recruitment systems. Public trust in democracy weakens when citizens believe that hard work and talent matter less than connections or corruption. A modern democratic society must therefore ensure that public opportunities are distributed through fair, transparent, and accountable systems that reward genuine ability and effort.
