I would reconsider voting for INC if the Gandhi family completely moved away from control. Many voters want an opposition, but not one that feels like a family inheritance.
The world has spent decades discussing Kashmir mainly through one lens. POK has been treated almost like a footnote. These protests show that people there also have grievances, frustrations and political demands. If international institutions, human rights groups and media houses are serious, they should apply the same standards everywhere. Selective outrage only damages credibility.
